Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of ClearCare — written so anyone can read them.

Last updated: April 2026

What ClearCare is

ClearCare is an independent information and guidance service for families in England considering adult social care. It is not a regulated care provider, does not employ carers, and does not arrange placements with providers.

Information is for general guidance

All content on ClearCare is provided for general information only. It does not constitute professional, legal, medical or financial advice. You should always speak with a qualified professional before making important decisions about care.

About CQC data

Provider information is sourced from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) public API. Ratings and inspection details reflect the most recently published CQC inspection at the time of fetching. ClearCare is not responsible for changes that may have occurred at a service since its last inspection.

Verify before you decide

Before making a care decision, you should verify all relevant details — including availability, costs, regulated activities and current staffing — directly with the provider.

No fees, no referrals, no paid placement

ClearCare does not charge users to use the service. We do not accept referral fees from providers. We do not accept payment from providers in exchange for placement, prominence or visibility in search results.

Care Record accounts

You may create a free Care Record account to save your shortlist and notes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@careclear.co.uk.

Acceptable use

You agree to use ClearCare only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not attempt to scrape, disrupt, or misuse the service or its data.

Liability

ClearCare is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearCare is not liable for any decisions made based on the information provided through the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
